Psychologist
Dr. Gentry often says that Rise found her. After first interviewing with Pediatrics Plus Counseling and Diagnostics in 2020, Covid delays and timing kept the door from opening. In early 2025, she reconnected with Rise, completed her second interview, and officially joined our team in May.
She began her career as a math teacher after earning her bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas. Later, after taking time off to raise her young children, she returned to school for her master’s and PhD in School Psychology at the University of Central Arkansas and spent four years working as a school psychologist while pursuing full licensure. She believes becoming a psychologist was a calling placed on her heart, and that journey ultimately led her to Rise.
Dr. Gentry brings a valuable perspective shaped by her background in education, psychology, and parenting. She enjoys serving clients of all ages through therapy and psychological evaluations.
Outside of work, she loves spending time with her two young adult children and two small dogs. Her favorite hobbies include reading, Bible study, building Lego sets, and enjoying a Dr. Pepper.
